Netra Basti / Netra meaning eye, basti means to cleanse. Our eyes are a vital role in how we perceive our world & thus how our nervous system reacts to our experience. Receiving netra basti allows the eyes to rest, nourishes the nervous system and provides a gentle means of clearing debris and mucus to promote greater function.
Benefits of Netra Basti:
Releases air pressure behind the eyes
Relieves tension in the eye socket
Move accumulation of mucus
Tonifies the eyesight
Lubricates dry, itchy, sore eyes (often caused by use of computers, watching screens & allergies)
Nourishes the nervous system
Calms the 12 cranial nerves behind the eyes
This treatment is not recommended if you currently have an active eye infection. Have any open wounds in the eye area. Have had a recent eye surgery or are actively using any eye medications.
Netra basti sessions are about 1 hr long & suggested donation is 30mil
Netra basti uses ghee to nourish and clear debris in the eyes
The Ghee used is hand made by Ni’Ki in the traditional style dedicated to Ganesha, the remover of obstacles
